Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust, more affectionately known as BNT, is entering a new era. Expected to move into new downtown digs with their new Executive Director, Elizabeth Torres this spring, the non-profit has unveiled its new logo.
Torres says the green logo of three interlocking homes, "...represents the philosophy of the organization in that it demonstrates the value of embracing a comprehensive strategy of strengthening communities focusing on families, neighborhoods, businesses and encouraging a sense of empowerment to effect change." The color chosen represents our belief in protecting our environment by creating healthy homes that are sustainable and energy efficient. Along with the green logo we chose to use our name Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust instead of the Acronym BNT because each of the words has great meaning:
- Bridgeportis the base from where we conduct business and it is this community that we primarily serve.
- Neighborhoodis the basis for our philosophy in that the neighborhoods are the heart and soul of the community and from where, we believe, the city's future will flourish.
- Trust because we believe we've earned it and hope to build on it as a benefactor and beneficiary of resident trust.
We will work diligently to live up to these symbols of our organization's principles. We hope you will join us as we continue to serve the families of the Greater Bridgeport community. |
