Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust is a HUD approved and CHFA certified housing counseling agency, and our homeownership counselors are here to help. Beginning with a personal orientation, they’ll explain the home buying process “from soup to nuts,” so that you can make financial decisions that are right for you. Our services include a monthly 8-hour Pre-Purchase Homeownership class, one-on-one counseling, and a series of post closing workshops to ensure success in homeownership.
We’re not selling anything (in fact all of our services are 100% free) so our advice is always personalized and unbiased. We’ll help you come up with a realistic action plan to purchase a home – whether that goal is a few months or a few years down the road – and then we’ll help walk you through each step of the way. Our track record speaks for itself. Since 2000, BNT has helped almost 300 households buy homes and provided counseling to almost 1000 participants.
