Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator
BNT and Local Initiatives Support Corporation are seeking a full-time AmeriCorps member to serve as a Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator. The candidate will ideally begin service in November, 2019 and serve a minimum of 1700 hours though the end of his/her/their term. Responsibilities will include leading the planning and execution of engagement and outreach activities via BNT’s Empowerment Resource Academy (ERA); surveying the needs of the community and developing programming that addresses the identified needs and issues. The Controller is a senior level position at Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust. An experienced accounting firm completes our annual audits. As we grow our housing development and property management portfolios, and expand our counseling work, we need to maintain our internal capacity to manage our financial operations.
We seek an experienced director who will assume overall responsibility for financial operations at BNT, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Program Directors, and outside contractors. The Controller will oversee all financial accounting and operations for the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting and compliance with all funding requirements. The Property Manager is a member of the BNT team, supporting achievement of the mission: to strengthen communities. To meet this challenge, BNT develops and manages affordable housing, provides comprehensive homeownership education and wealth building services, and supports economic empowerment through its social enterprise initiative. The Property Manager will report to the Deputy Director and will be responsible for overseeing BNT’s Portfolio of 220 units and 18,000 sq. ft. of commercial space scattered in various buildings throughout the City.
