“People just have nowhere to go” – BNT Deputy Director Doris Latorre

December 26, 2020 – BNT’s Doris Latorre & Noah Gotbaum interviewed on PBS News Hour.

BNT is one of the most active housing counseling agencies in Connecticut, recently processing over 800 applications under the state’s Temporary Rental Housing Assistance Program (TRHAP) ending December 31, and responsible for helping thousands of residents and community members avoid eviction, foreclosure and financial ruin during the pandemic in 2020.

Update: On December 27, 2020, President Donald Trump signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 into law. As a result, BNT is working with the Connecticut Department of Housing to participate in a new rental housing assistance program to be announce early in 2021.
