September 2, 2021 – HUD Awards $47 Million to Fight Housing Discrimination, Including $125,000 FHIP Grant to BNT

September 2, 2021 – HUD announced today that it had awarded $47.4 million to 120 fair housing organizations nationally under its Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP). This included an award of $125,000 to support BNT’s education and outreach programming for the ensuing year, including free classes and counseling resources.

BNT is one of just two HUD certified Fair Housing agencies in Connecticut providing education and outreach services, and the only COVID-19 Fair Housing Counselor Awardee in its MA, CT and RI tri-state region.
